A Mini Topshop Haul

Hey guys, yesterday I went into town & it was the first time in ages where I didn't purchase any makeup! This is a huge achievement for me & I'm pretty proud of myself (sad, I know). But anyway, I found myself buying a few pieces from Topshop. So I thought as I haven't got any planned post this week, I'd start here. My wardrobe at the minute is very minimal, I love my blacks, whites & nudes. This was my attempt at changing my wardrobe up a little, but I wasn't too successful.

Firstly, I saw this red body, and next to it I saw this striped skirt.. I instantly thought what a great combo. I love the contrast, with the bright red against the black & white skirt. If you know me well, you know ALL my clothes are from Topshop, I only occasionally shop somewhere else. I know that Topshop prices can be quite pricey, but all the pieces I picked up were surprisingly cheap. The strappy backless body was £18 & the stipe mini skirt was only £20. I was really surprised when looking at the price tag, considering Topshop skirts are normally around £32. I thought the body is great for the summer & festivals to wear with my levi shorts! It can also be dressed up with heels to wear on a night out.

I feel as if I've had a bit of a stripe overload! I also picked up these 3 tops, all reasonably priced. First is the stripe funnel top at £22, this was only available in petite in town, but it's a perfect fit, as I have a short body & longer legs. I sometimes find it quite hard to buy tops that fit nicely. But this is gorgeous, & is actually pretty slimming (which is a bonus). The stripe bardot top £20, I'd already been eyeing this up online, but I wasn't quite sure how it was going to fit & whether it was going to be comfortable. Oh wow, it's beautiful. Such a lovely fit & will be perfect for summer evenings at the pub. The last top I got was this knitted high neck top, £20. I am unable to find this on the internet, but it may be available in stores.

Although I didn't buy many brighter colours, I got a bit of pattern in my life! This was a bit of a rushed post, I apologise for that, I'm so busy at work & I don't know where the time goes!
Thankyou for reading.

My Everyday Face Value

Hey, so I've seen a few people do this now & I was really intrigued at how much I've spent on my everyday makeup. So here goes:

Face Products
Too Faced absolutely invisible candlelight powder - I picked up for £9.99 originally £23
Chanel healthy glow bronzer (limited edition) - £44

Eyes

Lips

So now it's time for the adding. I'm actually quite nervous to see how much it comes to!

Total Everyday Face Value - £330.49!!

Oh my gosh! I'm shock at how much money I've spent on makeup for everyday wear. I didn't think I own that much makeup, but when you add it all up it comes to an amazing amount of money.

Please comment if you've done a post like this, I'd love to know I'm not the only one spending so much money on my everyday face.

MAC Haul

Hey guys,
I've had my MAC purchases for a while now, but I haven't had the chance to write a post, so now it's time. I could honestly spend a fortune in MAC, I love the variety of shades in every product. I just want to say that every product I buy is 100% with my own money (although I did get a MAC gift voucher for my birthday), I only say this because I've got a couple of haul posts up this month & I don't want people thinking I'm getting my mum or anyone to buy stuff for me.

Obviously I couldn't go in without purchasing a couple of MAC lipsticks, which is what I purchased with my gift voucher. I got the shades Mehr & Yash, £15.50 each. I wanted a couple of nudey lip colours to wear during the day time as all the other lipsticks I own seem to be quite dark. These colours are absolutely perfect all year round. Mehr is a more pinky-brown & Yash is a deep neutral. I think all skin tones would suit both of these colours, they're so wearable.

I also wanted to get a nudey lip pencil which can be used with both colours, I settled for 'Subculture'. It's a more pinky nude which makes it a bit more versatile. It can make both of the colours look different. I normally like to colour my whole lip rather than just lining the lip so it gives a different finish, as I'm not a fan of an other lined lip.

MACs retro matte liquid lipcolour in Dance with Me £21. Oh, how I've been lusting over these since they've been released. There are a few colours I'm wanting to buy, but I thought I'd start with one incase I didn't like the formula. But these are really amazing. The staying power is incredible!! I must admit trying to get it off is a bit of a pain, but it's better than it rubbing off every time you eat or drink. The colour I got is a deep cranberry red, it's so beautiful. Perfect for night time looks. I will definitely be purchasing more of these in the future.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on 7 out of 8 of the Faerie Whispers foiled eyeshadows £16 each. The only one I didn't get was Sweet Illusion which appears to be sold out EVERYWHERE! These are truly gorgeous colours. I might swatch them in a separate post as I'm not yet ready the use them as they just look so beautiful. They're completely sold out in MAC now but for limited edition makeup always try out places like Debenhams, House of Fraser & Selfridges. Debenhams still have a couple available here, House of Fraser here & Selfridges here

Left to Right - Enchanted Forest, Feminine Wiles, Joy Toy, Fly by Twilight

Left to Right - Faerie Fayre, Magic in Your Eyes, Fairy Land

Now that I'm all spent out, I should probably take a break from buying makeup for a while (which probably won't last long). Thankyou for reading!

False Lash Test

Hey Girls.
I've decided I wanted to try a couple of false eyelashes, having never used them before, I wasn't quite sure which brand to go for or whether they'd actually suit me. So I decided to go for Eylure as they weren't the cheapest nor the most expensive. So I haven't wasted any money in case they really don't suit me.
I bought myself No. 020 & No. 070 & I'm really happy with how natural they look. I ordered these from flaseeyelashes.co.uk  & honestly I'm so please with the service! It's free 1st class delivery on all orders, so they came the next day. Amazing. They also have a good range of different brands ex. Ardell, RedCherry & Nouveau. These cost £4.95 each. I don't really know anything about false eyelashes so I didn't really know which ones to go for, so I settled for the most natural looking ones. Eylure have a few categories of eyelashes so you can find the right ones for you, these include: Naturals, Volume, Lengthening, Exaggerate, Dramatic, Texture, Definition, Enchanted, Party & Urban Topics. Personally I think I would only buy the Naturals, Volume, Lengthening & Texture ones, due to having such small eyes. I was amazed by the range of them all though! I also purchased their lash glue for £2.99, as I wasn't sure if these came with it, & it turns out they do. But now I've got enough to last me.
I haven't actually used these yet, but this was just my first impressions. There are definitely more brands which I want to try including HUDAbeauty, Demure Lashes & House of Lashes. But I'll see how these are first.
What are you favourite false lashes?

Beauty Haul

Hey guys, if you follow me on Instagram you'll see a few of the bits I'm going to write about today in this haul. So, the other week I had a bit of internet shopping spree, I thought I'd put all the bits together in this haul.

First I got the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer £17.50, which I got in the lightest shade 'fair neutral'. As I wanted to use it as a highlighter as well as a concealer. I'm yet to use this product but I've seen a lot of girls use this in tutorials & it looks as though it gives a full flawless coverage. I have been after this for a while, but it was one of those products which you never get round to buying. So I thought it was time. I must say I was expecting to tube to be taller but maybe thats just me.

Next I got another one of one my favourite mascaras, Chanel le Volume de Chanel £25. With Chanel being my favourite makeup brand I couldn't by picking up another mascara. They're well worth the money, I simply love the finish this mascara gives my eyelashes. It is more on the expensive side of mascaras but it has amazing lasting power. I wouldn't be able to go a day without it.

Ok, so how gorgeous are YSL lipsticks? I just needed one in my collection. Although the majority of the colours were quite bright pinks, I settled for this browny nude, Rouge Volupté in shade 3 Ultimate Beige £26. I mean it is really expensive for a lipstick, but it's amazing and stays on all day. Although my favourite finish is matte this has a more cremesheen finish. It's such a wearable colour as well, I love wearing it as it's really moisturising on the lips.

I'm sorry about this brightness on the next few images, I had horrendous lighting. Anyway, I'd been eyeing up this Daniel Sandler Sculpt & Slim Face Powder £24.50 for months! And when I say months I mean when I first started blogging. I was using my Chanel Limited Edition Bronzer everyday but I didn't want to run out so I decided to buy a similar, cheaper one to use everyday instead. I must say, I'm actually pretty pleased with this products, it's so similar to my Chanel one. The shade isn't too dark so it looks really natural under the cheekbones.

So I was lucky enough to get my hands on Dior's Glowing Garden Illuminating Powder £40 which is now sold out everywhere online, but you may be able to find one in store. There were two shades to choose from glowing pink or glowing nude, I went for the glowing nude simply because it was the last one they had left. They've been really popular, and you can probably see why. They're gorgeous, it's like brushing pure gold on my skin. This product also came with a mini kabuki brush, which personally think is too thick to apply highlighter with, but it's still cute.

And lastly, my favourite purchase of them all! The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit £65. I managed to get my hands on it, & I am so so happy! It's honestly so beautiful. I'm not sure whether it's still available anywhere else but if you do see it in stock anywhere, you need to buy it! An absolute must have for every beauty blogger! I ordered mine from Net-a-Porter & the service was amazing, I only paid for standard delivery & it came the next day before 11am, how amazing!

So that about rounds it up & you can probably tell I'm a little obsessed with purchasing makeup, but who isn't?

My Favourite Lip Combos

Hey everyone,
Now, I own quite a few lipsticks, but I seem to wear the same ones over & over... Not that that's a bad thing, but I thought I'd share my two favourites with you girls. I am starting to experiment & wear new ones but these will always be my all time favourites.

If you've read a few of my posts, you would have noticed I always mention Amorous, it's honestly my absolute fav! I have only just recently picked up a lipliner to go with this lipstick, in my Cambridge haul which you can read here. The lipliner I picked up was MACs pro-longwear lipliner in the colour 'Ms. Diva'. They're literally the most perfect match! I always wear this lip combo if I'm going out, it's my signature party lip.

My second favourite is MACs 'Whirl' matched with the lipliner 'Spice'. MAC do do a lipliner in Whirl but this always appears to be out of stock, so I settled for second best, but I really love these two together. This combo is more of my everyday lip. It's such a lovely natural brown lip without looking too harsh on my fair skin. This would look even better with a tan in the summer.

I have swatched both of these combo's above. Left: Amorous & Ms. Diva, Right: Whirl & Spice.
As you can see they're both pretty good matches, I can only imagine MACs lipliner in Whirl will be a tad darker, just to make that difference against the lipstick itself.

What are your favourite lips combos?

Decorating My Boudoir - Take Two

Hey everyone,
So it's February & I still haven't moved into my new room yet. We're hoping it's going to be around the end of March/beginning of April (which I shall do a post once I've done everything). As my first post got quite a lot of views I thought I'd share even more bits which I've got for my bedroom. You can read the first post here if you missed it. You'll start to see a bit of a theme going on here. It'll mainly consist of furnishings & bits & bobs...

As you'll know I'm going for a duck egg colour & I saw this adorable cushion in Next which was only £6, which I thought was reasonably priced for Next! You can purchase it here. It would look lovely having two of these on a double bed, one on each side, but as I wanted mix & match cushions I just went for one. This would also look lovely with white duvets, which brings me to mention...

I got another duvet cover & pillowcases. So I have already mentioned the duck egg josette duvet cover, this is also in the josette collection. It's plain white with the josette pattern embroidered on it. It's stunning, so classic. I love this one as I'll never get bored of it & if I do change the colour theme, I can still keep this duvet cover. You can be it here from £70.

I apologise for the awful photographs in this post, btw..  I find it really hard to take pictures of furnishings. Anyway, I bought this gorgeous Anastasia Duck Egg Blanket from Laura Ashley, £75. This is honestly so so soft, & matches everything so perfectly!! I couldn't resist this baby, & I can't wait to use it.

Next I got this Cream Gallery Wall Clock from Laura Ashley (surprise, surprise, can you see the theme going on?), £60. Again, it's really classic & simple, so it'll never date & will go with everything.  The hands on this clock are beautiful, I pretty much love everything from Laura Ashley, I could spend a fortune!

I always have a bed throw to go with my bedroom. This one was from Vintage Maison and was £45 instead of £90, which I thought was a bargain!! I don't actually think they're selling this anymore, which is why I think I managed to get it so cheap, but they do do some gorgeous ones.

I got this Josette Print Jewellery Box for my birthday from Laura Ashley. It's so pretty, I think it looks far more expensive than it was at £28. I cannot wait to put all of this stuff together, my room is going to look so pretty. Although I don't own that much jewellery, it'll look beautiful on my chest of drawers.

I got both of these pretty cushions from the Holly Willoughby collection in BHS. I can't find these on the internet but the on at the front was £20 and the one at the back was £15. Again just classic, lacey pillows.

Another cushion, my bed is going to be full! It's the Josette Duck Egg Patterned Cotton Cushion from Laura Ashley, £40. Honestly, this one is amazing, the pillow inside is of such amazing quality, it's well worth the money. I'm not sure whether this is going on the bed as of yet, as I might end up getting a bed bench, depending on how much room I've got left in the room & if I do it'll go on there.

That's everything I've bought so far.. these other bits are what I'm hoping to buy in the upcoming weeks!

This Odette Table Lamp is from BHS, it's £40 & you can purchase it here. I'm hoping to get two of these, one for either side of the bed. It's such a pretty design, with a gorgeous champagne hanging light shade. I think it looks a lot more expensive.

I'm just waiting for payday to purchase this Large Ornate Silver Wall/Floor Mirror in Silver from Melody Maison. It's currently out of stock, but is available from the 12th of February & it costs £122.95. I was looking at other mirrors similar to this & this was the cheapest one I could find, but it's actually my favourite of them all. It's honestly huge! You can purchase this here.

As I said previously, I really want a bed bench, depending on how much room I've got. I found this Marielle White Painted Bench £225 from Next. I'm so confused as to why it comes up with a stool when you click on the picture, but the price & dimensions are the same as the bench so it must be right. This would go perfectly in my room as it matches my stool for my dressing table, I'm just praying that it fits!

Now that is everything, hopefully everything will start coming together soon, instead of being stored everywhere around the house.

Mac Lipstick Wishlist

Hey Girls,
I've been lusting over so many MAC lipstick shades, I want so many! But I thought I'd listing the top five in my wish list. I'm going through a bit of a nude phase so the majority of these colours will be nudey/pinks. All these lipsticks cost £15.50 & can be purchased here.

First on my list is Brave, which is a gorgeous Pinky/Beige colour with a satin finish. I have seen so many gorgeous swatches of this colour. The majority of the lipsticks I own are matte, so it'd be lovely to own some different finishes to give different looks & pigmentation. A lip pencil suggestion for this shade is Soar (£12.50). Comparing this against a colour I've swatched before - Mehr - this appears slightly lighter.

Next is Captive, which is pinkest plum colour with a satin finish. I'm a big fan of plummy coloured lipsticks, as I think they suit my skin tone the best. Just by looking at the website lipliner suggestions would be Half- Red & Dervish, bearing in mind they may appear lighter or darker in real life.

Taupe a muted red/taupe brown with a matte finish. As stated before matte is my absolute favourite finish! I just find they're more pigmented & last longer. So this colour looks perfect to me. This appears a bit darker than Velvet Teddy. A suggested lipliner would be Spice or Hover. I have swatched this a few times when I've been in MAC, & I so need it in my collection!

Myth light neutral nude. I've read so many blogposts saying that this is the perfect nude. It's perfect for those who have fair skin. Finally a nude that doesn't wash us out! A suggested lipliner is Stripdown. With a light colour it's best to line your lips first otherwise it can look really pale, & no one wants that.

Last but certainly not least, Please Me a muted-rosy pink. I discovered this colour from differentisthebest Instagram, (if you don't follow here you really need to, makeup goals!). On swatches, it actually looks a bit brighter than in this image, but it's such a gorgeous, natural pink. A suggested lipliner for this shade would be  Edge to Edge or Soar.

Again, don't take my lipliner suggestions too literally.. I'm not an expert nor do I know what these colours actually look like when swatched. But I hope it helped a little.

Thankyou so much for reading

The Liquid Lipstick Obsession

Hey girls,
You may or may not have noticed that liquid lipstick are becoming a huge thing. I have a slight obsession where I just want them all but cannot afford them. I have recently ordered myself one of MACs retro matte liquid lipsticks to see how I get on with them. There are so many to choose from, I just cannot decide where to start. Here are a few of the ones I want to try to give you some ideas.

First I'm going to start with MACs Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick £21. Now I think everyone's been obsessed with these as soon as they were released. There are 15 colours to choose from personally I prefer the nudes & purples. I have just order this in the colour 'Dance with Me' I cannot wait for it to arrive so I can try it & see if I like the formula so that I can order some more colours. I do find, some of these colours are hard to wear, I mean there's quite a few I wouldn't dare putting on my lips due to the pigmentation of these lipsticks, and I find some of them are just going to be too bright.

Next up are theBalm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick £13.50. I think these are more wearable colours than the MAC retro matte ones, as they're not so 'in your face'. There are 8 colours to choose from in the collection, each wearable. These are surprising priced, I thought they would've been a lot more expensive, so I can't wait to try a few of these colours.

They're my two favourites that I am dying to try, there are also some others, which are not from the UK. The first one is ColourPop Ultra Matte Lips $6, (they use the English spelling of Colour, yet don't deliver to the UK?). They've been saying they're working on delivering to the UK for a while now, whether they will or not I'm not too sure. But these are so so cheap & they have an amazing range of colours, so I hope they do start shipping to the UK because I'm lusting over so many colours right now.
Another one is Dose of Colors Matte Lipstick $18, a bit more expensive than ColourPop, but at least they deliver to the UK! Again a good range of colours, I'm just waiting for all of the colours I like to be in stock at the same time so I only have to pay for shipping once.
Next is ABH Liquid Lipstick $20, the UK are literally last to get everything I swear. ABH products are sold on some online shops but I can't find the liquid lipsticks anywhere. I'm sure they'll arrive soon! There's an amazing range of colours with this product. I have a feeling they do deliver to the UK, I'm not 100% sure, because I've never tried.
And lastly, Lime Crime Velvetines £14.04. These have a lot more 'odd' colours but I've heard amazing reviews, and watch a few youtube swatches and they do look incredible. I like these ones just for the nude & berry colours.

So there are my suggestions for the Liquid Lipstick Obsession that everyone is going through at the minute. I cannot wait to try out some on these products. Hope you've enjoyed reading, leave a comment below about what you think of these products.

Battle of the Foundations

Hey everyone
So, I've spent sooo much money recently, I'm sure a couple of hauls will be posted soon! But I thought I'd try and save money & post with what I've got. Today I'm going to comparing my two Chanel foundations.

The two foundations I've got are Chanel's Vitalumière Aqua £33 & Chanel's Perfection Lumière £36. They're both in a similar price range but are two very different formulas. I went for shade 20 beige in both of these. The two are very long-lasting & worth the money, I don't dislike either but there is one I do prefer.

The first Chanel foundation I bought was this Vitalumière Aqua. I have actually written a review before which you can read here (which was one of my first posts, so it may be awful!). This is a water-based foundation so it's goes lighting on the skin & sets in beautifully. This is the more natural of the two foundations, a little goes far with this one, as you can imagine. It creates this perfect surface on the skin & has a lovely, healthy glow. It's more refreshing on the skin, being so light, it does feel a bit naked.

I was really happy with Chanel's Perfection Lumière as well, as it's more full coverage. I went looking for a longer lasting foundation, & I found it! Although if you put too much on it can look a bit cakey, so you have to be a bit more careful with this one. I have found that this can flake on dry areas, so this may not be for you if you have dry skin, luckily my dry skin has cleared up, so I'm able to wear this beauty.

Packaging:- I definitely prefer the frosted glass bottle of the Perfection Lumière rather than the Beige coloured plastic bottle of the Vitalumière Aqua, I think it looks & feels more expensive.
Overall:- I prefer Chanel's Vitalumière Aqua! It feels so lovely on my skin, without feeling like I've got makeup on. I wouldn't be able to live without this foundation now. I've had it for ages & it's still going. The only thing I would hope for is that it'd last a bit longer during the day. But you can't have everything.
