Payday Shopping List

Hey guys,
I didn't post last week as I had so much going on, this seems to be a reaccurring excuse, I know... But when I'm overloaded at work it's just nice to spend some time relaxing & going out with my friends. But I'm back now, so hopefully I'll be able to post more often. This is the second time I've done this kind of post, but last time I'll admit, I didn't stick to it. I'm hoping this time I'll at least buy a few things on my list. I also hope this gives you guys a little inspiration for when you deserve a treat or have just been paid.

Ever since I purchased Bad Habit & Dopey from Colourpop I knew I have to grow my collection! They're insanely good lipsticks & not drying at all. The colours I'm lusting over are Beeper, Teeny Tiny & Mess Around. I think these are perfect colours for everyday & evenings. Beeper & Teeny Tiny are from their Ultra Matte range & Mess Around is from their newer Ultra Satin range. The Ultra Satin range is perfect for those who find the Ultra Mattes too drying for their lips. But both have amazing pigmentation & are so long lasting! Colourpop liquid lipsticks are around $6 but if you're buying them from the UK you're looking at around £10 on places like Ebay & Depop. Of course be careful who you're buying from & make sure what you're getting is 100% genuine, as you don't want to be wasting your money on fake products, as you don't know what you're getting. I recommend lillyjam on Depop, she's a lovely girl selling brand new, genuine Colourpop lipsticks for £9.95.

Next up, I've got a 20% off Asos, so obviously I'll be using it to get a bit of a discount on makeup! I totally want to try Benefits Dew the Hoola £22.50 & their Hoola Bronzing & Contour Brush £17.50. I've heard amazing things about this liquid bronzer, & if their powder Hoola wasn't hyped about enough, this one sure will be! Being a person who's never tried Benefit's original Hoola, I'm super excited about this one! Isn't this brush so cute? I must admit, I do want the brush because of how it looks...

Lastly on my list are these BEAUTIFUL Spectrum Brushes, these gorgeous things are from their Marbleous Collection (which I love!), being obsessed with marble I knew I have to have these, along with their marble makeup bag! The whole set costs £64.99 or you can buy just the eye set or face set for £34.99, all which can be purchased here & their beautiful marble bag is £16.99 which you can purchase here. These are definitely a NEED!

And that is all what's on my shopping list this month!
What are you wanting to get your hands on?

Liquid Lipstick Comparison

Hey guys,
After recently obsessing over liquid lipsticks, I thought I'd do a comparison over three brands. Everyone's loving liquid lipsticks at the minute due to their intense colour payoff. The three brands I'll be comparing are MAC, Colourpop & Dose of Colors. All three brands I absolutely adore so I'll be completely honest.

L-R: MAC 'Dance With Me', Colourpop 'Bad Habit' & Dose of Colors 'Bare With Me'

Packaging: There's a clear winner when it comes to the packaging, Dose of Colors has a gorgeous frosted glass tube with their simple logo, I think this one looks the most expensive of the three. Second will have to be MAC, I love how they've included their classic black bullet lid. Last would be Colourpop, it's not that I don't like this packaging, but I prefer the smaller tubes.

Colour Pigmentation: This will have to be a tie between Dose of Colors & Colourpop. Both beautiful colours which only need one coat on the lips. I don't know whether it's because the MAC is a dark colour, but I find this can dry quite patchy in places, although once applied it lasts all day.

Applicator: my favourite here will have to be the MAC applicator, it's the perfect shape to get into the outer corners of the lips & get the perfect cupids bow, with the pointed edge. The other two have just the standard shaped applicator, which I find a little harder to fill the lips perfectly.

Quality & Price: All these liquid lipsticks are of high quality, but I find the one which stands out because of its texture is Dose of Colors, it's a lovely moussey consistency which is non-drying, nor tacky. The cheapest of the three is Colourpop which is $6, then Dose of Colors £14.50 & then MAC £21.

Overall: I was most excited about the Colourpop as you're unable to get these in the UK at the minute, & being from the UK I'm so jealous of what we're missing out on. But my favourite has to be the Dose of Colors, due to the fact I love the colour & it lasts for hours! Close second is Colourpop, this would of been my favourite if I'd had bought a more wearable colour for everyday wear, but if you ever get a chance to try one of these I totally recommend them! And last is MAC, I think it's because I bought a darker colour which dries patchy, but I'd still repurchase this product in a more nudey colour.

MAC is available here
ColourPop is available here
Dose of Colors is available here

If you're from the UK, to avoid paying more expensive shipping, you can purchase Dose of Colors from beautybay here

A Little Drugstore Haul

Hey guys,
I did so well posting every Monday & Thursday in February but since coming into March I've let myself down! Really sorry that this is my first post of the month, it's all been very hectic in my house. Anyway... back to the point of this post. So I never buy drugstore makeup, this is because I never went through that stage of being 14-15, buying my first makeup in boots, I was very naive & went straight to benefit. So I missed the whole stage of trying out loads of products. But now I work & earn my own money, I'm starting to release I can't afford to buy the best of the best all the time. So I went into boots to buy a few bits to wear for work, as I want to save my high end makeup for weekends & evenings. The main thing I wanted to get was a foundation as I was using my Chanel one for work & it's just too expensive for everyday wear.

So that's when I went over to the L'Oreal counter, because out of all the drugstore brands I thought L'Oreal appeared to be the most trustworthy & a lot of people talk about it. It's not one of the cheapest in the drugstore so I'm expecting them to be decent products. Boots ALWAYS have offers on! So when I saw it was 3 for 2 I was like 'YASSS', & picked up these three items. First I picked up the Infallible 24H Matte Foundation £7.99, which is sooo cheap for a foundation. A lot of people talk about this foundation & say how amazing it is, so I'm trying it out. I got the shade Vanilla, which I'm hoping is the right shade as I matched myself.. & with that I bought the Infallible Mattifying Base Primer £7.99, as again I've read a million reviews on this product. I love primers, I could literally buy so many as they just make your skin feel incredible! And lastly, from L'Oreal I bought the Infallible Sculpt Contour Palette in Light/Medium £9.99, I love contouring & highlighting my face. This product is amazing for beginners, as it's cheap & only has two shades, so you can't go wrong. I'm still yet to splurge on an Anastasia Contour Palette, but it's just one of those things I really want but can't justify buying it right now.

Next up I went to the Soap & Glory counter, as everyone secretly loves them & bought two of the highlight & sculpt sticks. I've been eyeing these up every since Emily Canham mentioned them in one of her videos. So while I was there I thought.. why not? I got the Wonderbronze & Glow All Out these are on offer at the moment for £6 each but originally are £8 which is still really good! I haven't tried these on my face yet but I've swatched them in store & they are gorgeous!! It's a close dupe for the Clinique Chubby Stick, which I've always wanted to buy but the lady who works at my local Clinique counter was really rude & unhelpful, that I refuse to buy anything from her. But if you're in to contouring & highlighting I definitely recommend you try these out!

The main reason I went into Boots was for the Nivea Primers, I've heard so much about them & how good they are, that I just couldn't resist! I went for the Nivea Express Hydration Primer for Dry & Sensitive Skin £5.25 & the Nivea Express Hydration Primer for Normal & Combination Skin £4.99. The reason I got both is somedays my skin is dryer than others, & in the summer I get quite oily skin, but not all year round. I've only tried the one for dry skin &.. OMG, this has been a lifesaver. No more flaky foundation. I cannot put it into words how much I love this primer, I don't think I'll ever be going back! It's just amazing! I definitely recommend it you have dry skin, it's more of a moisturising primer rather than a matte silky primer. Perfect for giving you a bit of a dewy finish. I can really see why these are raved about so much.

And that about covers it all. I'm really excited to try out new brands & probably will be returning to the drugstore to purchase more cheap goodies. If they're any drugstore recommendations please leave a comment below! As I want to try so many things, I just don't know where to start!
