Battle of the Foundations

Hey everyone
So, I've spent sooo much money recently, I'm sure a couple of hauls will be posted soon! But I thought I'd try and save money & post with what I've got. Today I'm going to comparing my two Chanel foundations.

The two foundations I've got are Chanel's Vitalumière Aqua £33 & Chanel's Perfection Lumière £36. They're both in a similar price range but are two very different formulas. I went for shade 20 beige in both of these. The two are very long-lasting & worth the money, I don't dislike either but there is one I do prefer.

The first Chanel foundation I bought was this Vitalumière Aqua. I have actually written a review before which you can read here (which was one of my first posts, so it may be awful!). This is a water-based foundation so it's goes lighting on the skin & sets in beautifully. This is the more natural of the two foundations, a little goes far with this one, as you can imagine. It creates this perfect surface on the skin & has a lovely, healthy glow. It's more refreshing on the skin, being so light, it does feel a bit naked.

I was really happy with Chanel's Perfection Lumière as well, as it's more full coverage. I went looking for a longer lasting foundation, & I found it! Although if you put too much on it can look a bit cakey, so you have to be a bit more careful with this one. I have found that this can flake on dry areas, so this may not be for you if you have dry skin, luckily my dry skin has cleared up, so I'm able to wear this beauty.

Packaging:- I definitely prefer the frosted glass bottle of the Perfection Lumière rather than the Beige coloured plastic bottle of the Vitalumière Aqua, I think it looks & feels more expensive.
Overall:- I prefer Chanel's Vitalumière Aqua! It feels so lovely on my skin, without feeling like I've got makeup on. I wouldn't be able to live without this foundation now. I've had it for ages & it's still going. The only thing I would hope for is that it'd last a bit longer during the day. But you can't have everything.

Payday Shopping List

Hey guys,
I get paid on the 11th of February, & now I'm sort of controlling how much I spent on makeup a month, well.. trying to. I thought I'd create a payday shopping list of the products I want to get this month. Hope you enjoy.

So first on my list in Becca Cosmetics - Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Highlighter £32, which you can purchase here. I've been wanting this for a while, & because it's limited edition I think it's time to get it before it goes out of stock. Everyone, & I mean everyone, is going on about this product. So I want to be part of everyone who owns this gorgeous shimmering skin perfector. I'm actually pretty shocked that it isn't sold out yet because of how many bloggers I've seen that owns this product. I'm hoping it's as good as it's been talked about!

Next is Sigma's F41 Fan Brush £12.95 which can be purchased in the UK here. I really want this brush to apply highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones with. At the moment I'm just using my RT bold metals blush brush, which has done it's bit. But now it's time to get my hands on a proper brush to do it's job. I'm also hoping on getting my hands on Sigma's highlight & contour brushes in the near future, they look and sound amazing!

Last on my list are a couple of pieces from Charlotte Tilbury. So far I own nothing from her makeup collection, so I'm so undecided on what to start with. But after thinking about it all the time, I think I've settled on the Bar of Gold Highlighter £32 and the K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in 'Kiss Chase' £23. These products just really stand out to me. Although I am also lusting over the Bronze & Glow at £49, which I'm sure I'll purchase some time soon.

So that's everything I plan on buying this payday.. I'm sure it probably won't last all month, knowing me. What are you guys hoping to get your hands on this month?

Would You Rather Tag - Beauty Edition

Hey girls, I saw this tag while reading some of your blogs & thought it'd be fun to do.
So Here goes...

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
Ooo, I would probably have to say lose all of my mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lipglosses because they'd be a lot cheaper to replace than all my eyeshadows & palettes, plus I have more limited edition palettes which I wouldn't be able to replace.

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Never cut it again, I only really have my hair cut once a year anyway (shame on me), but I really don't suit short hair.

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I would have to say coral, personally I think it looks more natural & great with a tan.

4. If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Makeup! It never goes out of fashion & you can never have enough.

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Lipstick as eyeliner, as I only have black eyeliner which wouldn't look great as a lipstick.

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Well, I would definitely rather shop at Sephora, but as I'm from the UK I have have MAC to choose from.

7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
One lip colour, my MAC Amorous!

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Summer clothes in winter, I can't deal with the heat in summer clothes so I'd die if I had to wear jumpers, etc...

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
I normally have nude nails, but I'd rather go darks than brights.

10. Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or your favorite eye product?
Favourite lip product, couldn't live without my eye products!

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
Ponytail, I can never get the hang of a messy bun.

12. Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
Never use lipgloss, I don't use it anyway. Not a fan of a glossy lip, matte all the way!

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in every day?
Sorry what?! Probably none at all, not a slug fan.

14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Live without nail polish, durr.

If you haven't done this tag already, I nominate you to do it.
Thankyou for reading

YSL Beauty Review

Hey guys.
This is just going to be a short & sweet post, about YSL Touché Ã‰clat Rose Collector. I managed to bag myself this in the sale after Christmas for £12.50!! Bargain. So I had to buy it, after the original had so much hype.

This product is now back up to £25 & you can purchase it here. At first I was a bit nervous on using this product because it's so beautiful I didn't want to make it dirty. The rose gold packaging is just perfect. But finally after getting bored of just staring at it, I decided to see what it was really like...

And to my surprise the product itself is just as gorgeous. It's this light pink formula which looks so delicate on the skin! This product does contain glitter unlike the original, so I use it more as a highlighter above my cheek bones, rather than around the eye area. This is a product I love wearing on nights out, it's so gorgeous. It does give you that gorgeous healthy glow, without looking caked in makeup. I wouldn't recommend this product to someone who doesn't like a little bit of shimmer, but I've already managed to get all of my friends wanting one!!

YSL have now bought out a new Touche Éclat Complexion Highlighter which is available in three shades: green, violet & apricot. They're all designed to achieve different things. Green neutralises reediness on the skin and minimises blemishes. Violet neutralises dull or sallow skin. Apricot neutralises dark spots and improves skin uniformity. After buying this one I kinda want to them all.

Other products similar to this you might want to try are: MACs Prep & Prime Highlighter in Radiant Rose £19 or Charlotte Tilbury Mini Miracle Eye Wand £29. I haven't tried these personally, but I've heard so many good things about them.

Sorry this post was so short, will have a decent size post next week when I'm not at work
Thankyou for reading.

Beauty Products I Cannot Wait to Launch This Year

Hey everyone!
I've been reading about a lot of products that are soon to launch in 2016 & I thought I'd share with what I'm looking forward to getting my hands on. None of the images I will be using are mine, which is kind of obvious but I thought I should mention it.

First on my list is MACs Zac Posen Collection, after seeing images of the lipsticks, I've fallen in love. In this collection their should be a transparent finishing powder £22.50, three lipsticks - Sheer Madness (sheer nude, lustre), Darling Clementine (bright orange, matte) & Dangerously Red (blue fuchsia, matte) £17, eyeshadow x 6 palette £35, fluidline pen £16.50, powder blush duo £25 & 2 brushes £30-£38 (bear in mind these prices may vary & may not be accurate). I'm hoping to get the three lipsticks from this collection, they're so so gorgeous! Of course, I'd love everything, but unfortunately I just wouldn't be able to afford it all. It's rumoured to launch February 25th in the UK so keep your eyes & ears open. You can sign up on maccosmetics.co.uk for emails to keep updated with new collections, offers, etc...

YSL are joining the Chinese New Years celebrations with this gorgeous palette. I don't even have to tell you how beautiful the colours are in this palette, you can see for yourself. It contains 5, 12 hour wear shades, they range from warm pinks to taupes. I'm not quite sure how much this palette is going to cost, I can't seem to find out anywhere, but it'll be worth the money! I also saw a new glitter covered Touche Éclat is coming out as well, which is a definite must have for me. It looks insane. These products will be launching in February 2016.

MACs Contour & Sculpt Yourself Palette. What took them so long? It contains 6 shades, a highlight, contour & 4 blushers. It looks truly amazing. Blush-wise, it contains 2 pinky/coral shades & two golden/bronze. This is already out in the US, but not sure when it's coming to the UK yet (hopefully soon!). It's been estimated at costing around £42. I always look at the US website to see whats coming to the UK next, just so I can prepare myself & start saving.

So that's all I'm eyeing up at the moment & saving up for.
What are you guys hoping to get your hands on this year?

The Makeup Tag

Hey Guys,
I saw this Makeup Tag, & thought 'who doesn't love reading about someone else's favourites'. So I thought this is the perfect opportunity for my readers to get to know me a little better, with the products I love using. I've never done this before so let's see how it goes..

What foundation do you use?
My absolute favourite foundation to use is Chanel's Vitalumi̬re Aquaʣ33, you can read my review here. Honestly, amazing.

How about concealer?
I use Benefit's Erase Paste £20.50, everyday, without fail.

What do you think of false lashes?

I think you can buy some quality false eyelashes, which look beautiful for occasions, but then again there are some cheap ones which look awful. Personally I don't wear them, as they look ridiculous on me.

What brand of mascara do you use?
There's not one brand of mascara I use. I like Benefit's Roller Lash £19.50 & Urban Decay's Perversion £17.50.

Sephora or MAC?

Seeing as there is still no Sephora in the UK (which baffles me! c'mon it's 2016), I'd have to go for MAC.

What makeup tools do you use?
I use all types of different brushes to apply my makeup, love my beauty blender to blend in my concealer. My all time favourite brushes are the 5 brushes in the Sigma Kabuki Kit, couldn't live without them.

Do you use eyeshadow primer?

I do, who knew the difference it could make? I use Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion £16 the original.

What is your favourite eyeshadow?

Omg, this is so hard! I own so many & love them all! Although my current favourite to use is Urban Decay's Gwen Stefani Palette £40, they're so pigmented.

What do you think of Pigment eyeshadows?
I've never actually used pigment eyeshadows, I can assume they're pretty messy to use, although they give intense colour.

What is your favourite lipstick?

I love Mac lipstick, my favourite shade is Amorous. What is your fave blusher to use?
I rarely use blusher, hence why I only own one which is Benefit's Hervana £23.50, I'm more of a bronzer gal.

Do you like drugstore makeup?
I wouldn't say I dislike it, I just tend to go for high end makeup.

Name a makeup crime you hate.
I hate when people use a foundation shade too light or too dark for their skin. I have a summer & winter foundation, to be safe.

Do you like colorful shades of makeup or neutrals?
Neutrals!

If you could leave the house with just one makeup item what would it be?
Mascara, the one product which can change your whole look & may need touching up during the day.

Could leave the house with no makeup on?
Definitely, I don't tend to. But I shouldn't be ashamed of what I look like.

In your opinion, what's the best makeup line?
Chanel, definitely. I just love how natural my skin looks when using their products, it's not cakey at all.
I nominate anyone reading this to do this tag if you haven't already.
Thankyou for reading!

Cambridge Haul

Hey guys,
OK, so I admit I went to Cambridge a couple of weeks ago, but as I've been terribly busy I haven't had a chance to post what I picked up. I absolutely adore Cambridge, it's my favourite place to go shopping. It's such a lovely area without being too busy. Today's post is going to be a mixture of beauty & fashion pieces. Hope you enjoy.

First I went to Oliver Bonas, as I've always loved looking at their website. So, I bought myself this gold 'A' for £10. I really love the quirkiness of this piece & I think it'd look really nice in my new bedroom when my brother moves out soon. You can purchase the gold letters here

OK, I'm obsessed with makeup. I can never go shopping without purchasing something new. I've been wanting a new MAC lipstick for a while, so I settled for the shade 'Whirl' £15.50. This shade is a lovely dusty rose colour, it's slowly becoming my favourite lipstick shade..

And with that, I purchased a couple of lipliners. I got the shade 'Spice' to go with Whirl & 'Ms. Diva' to go with my all time favourite Amorous. Spice is the original lipliner £12.50 & Ms. Diva is the pro longwear lipliner £15. They're the perfect matches if any of you are looking for matches for either of those two shades.

Last time I went to Cambridge I wanted to buy MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish £24 in the colour Lightscapade, but it was sold out. So, I was so happy when I found out the had it back in stock. I added it to my shopping basket, without needing any encouragement. It's honestly amazing, if you were thinking of purchasing it, I would really recommend it.

I'd been trying to find 'the perfect red' for a while now, so I thought I'd go somewhere a bit different for lip products and looked at Urban Decay. Instantly, I fell in love with the Revolution Lipstick £15.50 in the shade F-Bomb & the 24/7 Glide-On Lipliner £13.50 in the shade Bad Blood.

This Palette is my new favourite! Urban Decay's Gwen Stefani Palette £40. Aren't the colours just insane? They're so pigmented. As soon as I saw images of this palette, I knew I had to have it. The shades are so wearable & blend really well. There are so many looks that you're able to create with this palette, it's a must have for every girl.

I treated myself to some new perfume, as I was completely out of my favourite. I thought I'd try something other than Chloè, and came across Gucci's new fragrance Bamboo From £49. I've already had a few compliments when wearing it. Even the bottle, is just adorable.

So, when I go out, 99% of the time I wear black.. I just find it's the most complimentary colour for me & I only own a black clutch. I first saw this Patchwork Clutch from Topshop £32 online & fell in love. But it sold out. So when I went into Topshop in Cambridge & saw it there I just had to get it. I needed something to add a bit of colour on a night out.

I saw this faux fur collar in Oliver Bonas & my heart literally melted. I'm going through a bit of an obsession with fur at the moment & these scarfs are beautiful. I bought this for £30, but it's now in the sale for £10 #Gutted. You can purchase it here. The reason I love this one so much is because it's a gorgeous, natural colour, so it'll never date.

I bought this skirt to wear NYE from Topshop for £48 (I think), but it's now in the sale for £22, ouch! It's currently out of stock online, but they had some in my local shop, so they may in yours as well. I saw this online & said if they've got this in Cambridge I'm going to get it, as I was then coming out I spotted it in the last chance to buy, IN MY SIZE!! I was over the moon. It looks stunning on, at night the light catches & it sparkles, so pretty for occasions.

I also bought this sparkly mini clutch for NYE, from Topshop £22. I can't actually find this online either. It's such a stunning bag, really simple. I love the gold detail & tassel. It just completes an outfit.

So, that about rounds it up. As you can imagine I spent a fortune, so I'm taking a little break from spending money at the moment. Sorry it was a bit of a lengthy post, I just thought it's be nice to share everything with you guys. Hope you all enjoyed.

2016 Beauty Wishlist

Hey guys, so I thought I'd give you guys a little beauty wish list for 2016. I'm hoping I can get my hands on the majority of these beauties this year!

First on my list is this beauty, Hourglass' Ambient Lighting Power Edit £65. This is limited edition so I might not be able to get my hands on it, although it's first on my shopping list when I next get paid. This palette is all you need to finish, brighten, contour and highlight your skin. I've had my eye on this for ages, but have never had the spare money to purchase it. This palette has everything, to create the perfect iconic look. I cannot wait to see the difference this palette can make to my look. This is almost like a fainter contour palette, it's got all the right shades to highlight the cheeks, nose & cupids bow & contour the cheekbones & forehead, without the harshness of colour.

Next on my list is Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator £28 in Starlight & So Hollywood. Unfortunately, So Hollywood seems to be sold out everywhere, but hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on it once it's back. So Hollywood is a true gold shade & Starlight is a white gold shade. These highlighters look absolutely amazing & I've watched a lot of tutorials where youtubers have featured this product. I'm going through a bit of an obsession with highlighters at the minute, I just can't get enough (as you'll be able to tell from this wish list).

I'm also really lusting over Mac's Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour £21. There's a few shades I would purchase in this liquid lipcolour, they're just such wearable colours. Personally my favourites are: LadyBeGood - a warm midtone nude, Back in Vogue - a peachy nude, Dance with Me - a deep cranberry red, High Drama - a deep dark plum & Oh, Lady - a deep wine. Now as I'm not a pink lipstick girl, the majority of the shades I wouldn't be able to wear, but I'm really loving the nudes & deep shades.

Another highlighter, obviously.. Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator £21. The tones are just so gorgeous, it's so hard to choose between the two, so why not get both? Well, that's my view anyway. They really need to stop making highlighters look so beautiful to save my poor bank account! Ballerina is a dusky, rose gold & Gilded Honey is a subtle, copper bronze. This products is known for its wearable buttery texture to accentuate your favourite features.

Now if you read my previous post, of the brands I want to try in 2016, you'll know Gerard Cosmetics was one of them, if you missed it, you can read it here. At £9.50 their Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick are reasonably priced & with 11 shades to choose from, there's one for everyone! The shades I'm obsessing over are: Aphrodite, Ecstasy, Cher & Serenity. There's a mixture of nudes, pinks, reds & Purples.

So there's a few bits I'm hoping to spend my money on this year. If any of you have any reviews on these products please leave a comment below with a link. I'd love to read your stuff.
Thank you so much for reading.
