Chanel review

Just a quick review of my new chanel foundation. I recently bought the vitalumière aqua foundation, colour 20 beige (avg price £33)

This is a very light skin perfecting foundation. As it's water based it needs to be shaken well before use. The thing I like most about this foundation is a little goes a long way. But I always think minimal foundation looks best as I'd rather look more natural. This gives a light coverage and makes your skin feel silky smooth. I tend to have quite dry patches of skin around my nose, so sometimes wearing foundation makes it look quite flaky, but with this foundation you cannot tell at all! It's simply amazing. I don't wear this foundation everyday, as it's waaay out my budget, but it's definitely good for going out.
I'll be buying this foundation again after it's run out, for sure. It's well worth the money, and stays on for so long. Being a girl with fair skin, can really suck, but this foundation gives me a healthy, radiant glow without looking really fake. It applies really quickly to the face because of it's liquid base, and sets quickly.
It feels as thought you're got a second skin, which looks fresh and energised. It also protects the skin from the sun with it's spf 15 formula. I go out and feel confident about my skin when I wear this foundation, because the finishing results are outstanding.

Everyday beauty favourites.

So, we all have our everyday favourite beauty products.. I thought I'd share mine with you and give a review about each of the products I use.

When I'm in a rush in the morning for sixth form, this naked skin ultra definition powder foundation by Urban Decay is perfect (avg price £26). As it's a powder foundation there's no need to apply two products. It comes in a pretty little bag, and has an application sponge in the compact case. When I first wore this product my friends noticed the difference because it's quite light on the skin and makes it look so soft. If your prefer a fuller coverage, you're able to damp the sponge first so it applies a thicker layer to the skin. There are loads of different colours to fit everyone's skin tone - mine's fair neutral. I think this product is pretty cheap as it's a foundation and powder in one and it lasts for ages!

For weekends I use Mac pro longwear foundation(avg price £25). When it comes to foundation I don't really like a full coverage, so this foundation is perfect for me. It gives a light and creamy coverage. It applies really smooth onto the face and gives a natural finish. The thing I love about mac products is they have so many different shades to choose from. I got matched up to NW15, by one of the staff in Jarrolds and they were so lovely.

I also bought the Mac select sheer pressed powder to go with the foundation(avg price £20.50). As they really do go well together. This powder just adds thats silky finish to the foundation and makes you look flawless. With this powder a little goes a long way, as you only need to apply a small amount to get the effect. The good thing about this powder is it doesn't really change the shade of the foundation, it just makes your skin look really natural and gives it a glow. It does come with a little sponge that fits in the compact case but I prefer to apply this product using a powder brush. I got the shade NC20.

This was a really cheap concealer palette from Topshop (avg price £12). This product is really good for blurring and hiding imperfections. I use this product under my eyes and it really does make a difference. The good thing about this palette is that you can mix the colour to really hide dark circles, spots etc... I use the lightest colours to highlight my brow bone to make my eyebrows more prominent. I do find the darkest colour is too dark for me, but the other three are perfect for my skin tone.

I use this makeup setting spray every time I put my makeup on. It's from Urban Decay (avg price £21) and it really does help to keep your makeup on for the whole day, or for the whole night if you're going out. I like to apply two layers, one after I've applied my face makeup and another after I've applied my eyes, lips and cheek makeup. I think you're even able to buy this product in a mini travel size, to keep in your handbag for a freshen up. I have three bottles of this spray, as I am just in love with it!

I use this magic ink liquid eyeliner by Benefit on the top of my eyelids (avg price £15.50). I have tried other liquid eyeliners, but I found they smudged on my eyelids. This one doesn't smudge at all and it's got a flexible brush for easy application. I do love this eyeliner as it does come out black and dries black, whereas I found some other products dried more of a smoky grey colour. I do find this is hard if you want to do flicked eyeliner, as you can't get really close to the brush, so I'd recommend the 'they're real! push up liner' by Benefit (avg price £18.50) as it's a gel liner in a pen, so the tip won't flex and you can get really close to the lash line.

I use this le crayon khôl eyeliner by Lancôme in shade 01 noir (avg price £16) along my waterline. I find it makes my eyes just that little bit bigger, which I really need as I have the smallest eyes ever. I find this pencil eyeliner is really easy to apply right up to my lash line without making a really thick line, so it looks more natural.

Perversion by Urban Decay is my absolute favourite mascara at the moment (avg price £17.50). As my eyes are really small, I need volume and length in my lashes to make my eyes look bigger and this mascara does exactly that! I really want to try the subversion primer by Urban Decay to go with it but I never get round to buying it. I never really stick to one mascara as there are so many out there that I want to try. I own a few mascara's at the minute but this one tops them all. Sometimes I do like to add Benefits roller lash mascara on top of this own to give extra length and add curls to the lashes. But I've only got a small tube of roller lash out of the Elle magazine, which I will definitely be buying once my little one has run out.

I never used to do anything to my eyebrows, but since I've got them waxed I like to add a little shape to them. This little brow box by Urban Decay, is perfect for my needs (avg price £19.50). It comes in two different colours, I got brown sugar as I've got really dark hair. Inside there are two little brushes and a tiny pair of tweezers, two shades of powder and a wax. The fact there are two shades, makes it easier to make your brows look more natural as you can apply the lighter colour where you've got more hair and the darker where you don't. The wax is handy for keeping your eyebrow hairs in place once you've shaped and coloured them. All this comes in a tiny box which fits in the palm of your hand.

Hervana by Benefit was the first blusher I ever bought, and I've stuck by it since (avg price £23.50). The reason I like this blusher so much is that it's not just one shade. It's a combination of four different colours, which makes your cheeks look natural but rosy. I find this blusher is so pigmented, that you'll only need to apply it once during the day and it'll stay on. Because I'm so pale, I don't like blushers that are really pink, so this is perfect for me as it has a few nude shades in there as well.

This is my favourite colour lipstick at the moment. The colour is ohh la la by Topshop (avg price £8). I think this shade is such a summery colour, which I think is going to be lovely for festivals this year. I really like Topshop lipsticks as they aren't expensive and the colours really do come out well and last for ages. The only thing I would recommend is to not buy them of their website, because I've found the colours look so different in real life than they do on their website. Whenever I go in Topshop I find myself coming out with a load of swatches along my arm of all their different colours. I wish I could buy them all.

Favourite scents

I am a lover of perfumery. I think how one can create their own scent is heavenly, and how we can recognise different perfumes. I would love to be able to create myself a perfume that is unique to everyone else's . I own so many perfumes, you can never have too many! I have narrowed my favourites down to just six.

six - Daisy by Marc Jacobs 100ml (avg price £70). I always wear this perfume in the summer, as it always smells so fresh and light. Although I really love this innocent scent, I do find it can fade quite quickly, so may need reapplying throughout the day. It's a very sophisticated scent without being too in your face. It has a very natural smell to it.

five - Ma Vie by Hugo Boss 30ml (avg price £37). This is the perfume I always wear to sixth form as it's relatively cheap and has a really appealing smell. This perfume always gives off a glow of femininity.

four - So Cal by Hollister 50ml (avg price £39). I absolutely adore the smell of Hollister, so I asked which fragrance they use in the shop. Even though it's a mens fragrance I just love the smell. Whenever I wear this, people always recognise and compliment it. It is quite a masculine and strong scent. I can come home and the scent will still be as crisp as it was that morning. Really worth the money!

three - Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel 3x20ml (avg price £64). This was a gift for my 18th birthday. I am in love with the perfume. This set comes with twist and spray case and three 20ml refills. This makes it suitable to just have in your handbag as it's a nice compact fragrance. The gold and white bottle is so elegant, just as the smell is.

two - Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent 50ml (avg price £64). This is came with a little 10ml compact spray to keep in your handbag. I think this fragrance has a lot of energy, I wear it when I'm going out. This fragrance has quite sweet and spicy scents in it, but they go incredibly well. I have never smelt anything like it and the first time I smelt it, I knew I had to buy it.

one - Chloé by Chloé 75ml (avg price £75). This is by far, my favourite perfume. It last all day and is well worth the price. It's a really strong, unique smell. Every time I wear Chloé, I always get compliments! It's a very fresh smell, even though it's quite pricy, it doesn't disappoint. I would wear this perfume everyday, if I could afford to.

My love for Boux Avenue is growing..

Ever since I bought my first set from Boux Avenue, I have been in love with all of their new sets. I could spend so much money in that shop. Everytime I go to Norwich I always end up buying a new set. They have so many different fabrics and design, that look even better on than they do on the hanger. I always find the packing they come in as well is so pretty that you don't want to open it.

This Octavia set was my latest buy from Boux Avenue. Although I don't normally where non-padded bras, I feel really comfortable in this because of the thick lace. The set is just stunning as a whole. The bra was £28 and the matching knickers were £14. The quality that is put into this set is beautiful.

I couldn't decide which colour to  get in this set, so I ended up buying both.. The bra was £26 & the knickers were £12. I think this set is so pretty as the lace back of the knickers cross over & looks gorgeous.

I don't normally go for really coloured underwear, but this set just stood out for me. I love the colours and the definition of this set as it's really bold. This was £24 for the bra and £12 for the knickers. The pattern the lace creates is just stunning.

I really love this pink and black set, as it's so simple yet so pretty. It's silky smooth. The knickers have a little hole and a bow at the back which is a simple touch which looks so nice. The bra was £28 and the knickers which £14.

This was my first set I bought from Boux Avenue. The knickers tie up at the back with a velvet ribbon which looks gorgeous. As velvet is my favourite fabric, this set really does a lot for me. With the velvet bows and the velvet where the underwire is, it's just so lovely. The bra was £30 and the knickers were £14.

I managed to purchase this set in the sale and it was a bargain! I love the lace and simplicity of this set & it has such elegant colours. I got the bra for £15 & the knickers for £10.

None of this images do any of the sets justice. But they truly are gorgeous. So if you're ever looking to treat yourself or looking for a gift for someone, they'll never be disappointed with a Boux Avenue set. They're all made with such care and are brilliant quality. x

All things Ted Baker..

As a lot of girls, I'm an absolute sucker for Ted Baker. Whether it's bags, jewellery, makeup.. I just love it all. Although Ted Baker product can be pricy, I think they're well worth the money for the quality & beauty of the products.  So I've decided to share all my Ted Baker products with you..

My first obsession with Ted Baker started off with their makeup bags, but because I own a lot of makeup I decided to buy a small wash bag instead (left - avg price £27) and although this is a pretty decent size bag it still wasn't big enough. So, I purchased the large wash bag (right - avg price £29) which is plenty big enough for all my products. The simplicity of these bags are so elegant that they'll look good on anyone's dressing table.

I received these Ted Baker nail varnishes as a gift at christmas. So although I am unsure of the price of them, I think the quality and colours of them are gorgeous. These colours are pearly pink (left) and golden glow (right). Also with these nail varnishes, I received a Ted Baker blusher & three lipsticks. I couldn't find these to take an image of but they are stunning colours, and the blusher has a mixture of tones for a beautiful finish. The lipsticks I got were nude, pink & red, & the packaging definitely doesn't disappoint.

I fell in love with this dainty bracelet as soon as I laid eyes on it. This was a gift from my mum (avg price £29). I love the simple design of this bracelet, as it's just a leather band with the signature bow. This came in many different colours, but I prefer something classic that'll go with anything so the white band with the smoky grey bow is perfect for me. It has three different adjustment sizes to fit the right person, and this was perfect for me, as I have tiny wrists I find it hard to find bracelets that don't fall off.

I'd been after a hip flask for my 18th birthday, and my mum surprised me with this beauty. 'A pretty little sip to keep at your hip' I always find Ted Baker uses the cutest of quotes on his products. My mum also got it personalised with my name on the back as a little keepsake gift (avg price £22). I thought this was a really sweet idea for remembering my 18th.

I could talk about my purse all day, I'm so in love with it. I'd been eyeing this purse up in House of Fraser for months, but never saw it on any websites as it was the last one being stocked. I kept looking around but I could find a purse I liked as much as I did this one. Although this was an expensive buy (avg price £99) I am still love it as much as I did when I got it. It's a beautiful nude leather purse, with a stunning interior. A gold metal risen bow, with black leather ties. With enough space for cards, coins & notes. It was well worth every penny.

I got this beautiful rose gold diamanté bangle in House of Fraser in Norwich. I'm not usually the type to where sparkly things, but I think this bracelet was stunning. There's not too much going on, as there's one main focus on this bracelet and then a simple thin band. Rose gold is literally my favourite, but this bracelet did also come in gold and silver with a different colour diamanté (avg price £39).

Opulent bloom jewellery roll (avg price £24). This case is absolutely perfect for someone who owns a lot of jewellery & travels a lot. I use this when I go clubbing, so I'm able to take different options without losing anything. It has enough room for earrings, bracelets, necklaces & rings. It's such a pretty case, and doesn't take up too much room in your bag.

I got this little compact mirror in a gift set (avg price £15) along with the Ella perfume which I do not have anymore. This little mirror is such a pretty design and would look good in anyone's handbag.

Opulent bloom card holder (avg price £16), same print as the jewellery case with a cute little rose gold bow on the front. This card holder holds up to five cards, including a space to place a form of ID, it also includes a mirror inside. I think this is perfect for people who go travelling or even clubbing when you don't want to take all your cards out or a big purse.

B by Ted Baker is such a stunning collection of underwear and pyjamas. I just love getting ready for bed and snuggling in my Ted Baker dressing gown (avg price £50). It is sooo soft, and has 'B's and bows imprinted on the material all over it. It comes in many different colours, mine's a light pink. It was well worth the money.

Again, from the B by Ted Baker collection, I bought this matching set (bra avg price £25 and knickers avg price £12.50). I really like this pleated set, as I find it looks so delicate and flattering on. The knickers take the shape of the person who it wearing them, although this photo doesn't do them justice. The little gold 'B' tag on the set gives them that Ted Baker touch.

And now for my favourite Ted Baker purchase. A lovely crosshatch, leather tote bag (avg price £149). I loved this bag as soon as I saw it & just knew I had to have it. It's a decent size bag, with just a clip to fasten it shut. Again, it's available in many different colour, I got the taupe one with a lovely rose gold bar across the top, with 'ted baker' imprinted. I use this bag every day for sixth form, so the condition is pretty good for the amount it carries and the usage I've had out of it. This bag also comes with a detachable 'pouch'.
